Even if I usually write this blog in Italian, this time I'll be international and write in English to let all the friends met there understand.
Just got back from my 'preliminary' 6 days (well,4 excluding the first and the last, spent travelling) in Tallinn, Eastland.
Let's start from telling that Estonian people are the greatest, funniest and nicest people all over the world.Full stop. I'm sure of that, even if in my life I've met only two or three cultures other than mine.
During these 4 days, I've met more people that I usually meet in a 4 years period here in Italy and -that's truly incredible if u know me- I can remeber most of their names, faces, and a couple of things regarding each one.
I'd like to greet a couple of them in this post, cause they were the key to success of our holiday, lettin'us know places and people we would never have met as 'common tourists'.
First of all, Salme. I'll never, never forget about you.Looking forward to see you again as soon as possible.Definitely I wouldn't have enjoyed that much without you (even if I still think you got cocaine that night @sunset...!! ).
Then Annika, Salme's friend. Completely crazy, I'll always remember you swimming in the icy-cold sea with 30~35 knots of freezy wind, at 6am, after eating hamburger and chips. That. was. great.
And then how could I forget Krista, Matte (probably I mistyped it..sorry!) and all the other friends we met there.
If fact, even if we had a visit of the old town, doing some sightseeing, taking snapshots and stuff like that, the thing I won't easily forget about Tallinn, is what a great culture is the Estonian one. Cities are *incredibly* clean. Here people drink A LOT. Actually after 9pm is really hard seeing someone who's not drinking. Actually I've never seen anyone else drinkng THAT MUCH. That said, I've to admit that violence compared to Italy is almost absent.
We've been to several pubs/clubs/discos (Club Prive,Stereo,Nimeta (=noname),Nimega (=with name), Hollywood,Sunset and so on) and in none of them we saw evidence of violence, nor drugs.
It has been a reeeeeeeaally nice stay I'll never forget. I'm looking forward to come back as soon as possible.
